I believe that the mutilation of the English language because of wrong usage and incorrect grammar is criminal. It hurts when I find casual disregard for simple rules. An English teacher with more than 23 years of teaching in different schools and colleges, I hold a Post Graduate degree in English Literature, and a PhD in Black American protest literature. I have an additional diploma in Teaching of English as a Foreign Language from CIEFL, Hyderabad, and have the BEC (1, 2 & 3) from the University of Cambridge. I was student-editor of our school magazine. I have been proof-reading and editing dissertations and theses from candidates abroad, and I am called to write farewell speeches, frame question papers for my University, proof-read brochures for the local government, and to scrutinise and/or moderate question papers set by others. I offer my talent for ghost writing, articles and editing or proof-reading. Apart from my regular 5-hour job, I work flexitime. My ability to deliver well within the time framework has been appreciated.
